Its been a while since i stopped by this place to blog..and so i realised :D Well, here I am.. and I gotta praise God for that. Cos seriously, i was lacking motivation to blog and if there was anything/anyone that could get me off my seat, it would have to be Him..
Y'noe, as we go thru life, we learn many lessons..many kind of lessons..and its like there is some sort of curriculum cos we learn diff things at different (apt) stages.. And as for the part of my 'Faith Formation Studies' I'm now at the topic on: The Lord Provides :P Cos the Man up there has been showing me countless examples of how He has everything taken care of.. for me and everyone else. I'll share two examples.. I've ben trying...for MANY years now...to get my family (besides my eldest sis cos she's pretty stable in her faith) to come back to church and be ACTIVE catholics..not juz mere passive, Sunday catholics. Sometimes, they weren't even that. At this point i'd like to take a moment to ask everyone who has a strong, Catholic support network at home - a family that prays together, attends mass and shares the faith with each other - to take a few mins thanking God for this. Now, coming back to my family... and so i kept trying..struggling would be a better word...and about 3 weeks back, HE made His presence felt in my home..and in the hearts of my fam members. It started with a phonecall from my mum's friend, Emily, askin my mum to attend this charismatic prayer meet at Risen Christ church. 'Coincidently' my sis who's in Aust had been tellin my mum tt she had been havin dreams bout Emily recently. My mum felt that it might be a 'sign' of sorts.. for Emily suddenly called out of the blue and at such an apt time too. So mummy was convinced and she tried askin dad and 2nd sis along.. guess what?.. They both AGREED!! And mind you, they were not active in the faith, both were not familiar with charismatic pryr meets and they both finished work at bout 6 - when the meet was at 7. I have no comments. Once there, my dad met an old pal whom he had not seen in ages. Interestingly enough, this guy, Johnson, was the coordinator of the upcoming 10-week LISS @ Risen Christ. :DDDDD Yup, Mum, Dad and Sis are currently into their 2nd week of LISS - 2 words - PARISE GOD It doesn't end there :) The trio met up with this guy called Gerard (who juz so happens to be one of the 'heads' of SACCRE) who was leading the prayer meet that night. HE invited them down for some spiritual counselling sessions with him and his wife..and yet again, the trio agreed! Erm... wow?!?! Changes are already evident.. juz this morning I was havin a casual chat with my mum and i found myself talkin bout spirituality and faith with her.. wats better was that she was actually listening- INTENTLY!!! Woohoo!!
Next, its bout how He made it possible for me to support the 'Buy a t-shirt, build a school' fund for the kids in Payatas, Phils. I was on the bus on the way back to CTK after AYD and sherlyn approached me askin me to buy the tee for $10. My reaction was ' I have bout $5 in my wallet and no job :D ' and Sherlyn juz kept askin and I agreed..without knowing how on earth I was gonna be able to find $10 and SPARE it for the tee. So i went home past midnight and juz before I entered my room, my mum, who was still awake, called out to me and passed me $20. I was stunned..and asked her wat it was for and she was like 'Oh, dad struck some small-time TOTO and wanted u to have this'.... TALK ABOUT DIVINE PROVIDENCE *smirks* I dunno wat else to say about Him man.. it's juz amazing la!!! Phew.. I'm in awe.. My sights are currently set on WYD 08 in Sydney..to me, right now it feels like a calling..a strong one..to be there next year. The 2K price tag is daunting but hey, if there is one thing tt I've learnt, it's that The Lord Provides.
