Drawing Strength..

Man...the Lord has really good ways of making us realise that the world doesn't revolve around us..
I had a lesson in humility a couple of days back..and it came through 2 simple things - writing an email and spending quiet time with God. I would never have thought that His answer to my prayers would come in such a way. Cos recently, I had been praying for strength.. strength to carry on labouring, for the general good of those around me. I had been relying on my own strength all along...and when I got tired, I turned to Him to 'top up' my energy levels... And lets just say he had other ideas.
What he did was break me down..break down my defences..the very defences that made me believe that I was strong, due to my own strengths. It hurt initially..but I figured why all this was happening eventually. He was letting me know that, all I ever needed in any situation was a prayer and some faith...faith to trust in His infinite strength and mercy.
Thank you Lord, for letting me know that when I rely on my own strengths all the time, the only thing that I get is a troubled heart and mind.
