Not good.

So some random bits of info shall get the opportunity to get out of my mind and manifest themselves in the form of words.

(Somewhere in between)...

"So, I guess its right for me to say 'Welcome to the Club' huh?"

"Uhh... yeah, but im definitely not lookin forward to this"

"Not like you have a choice, son... Anyway, welcome to Sector C...The boys affectionately call it the dumpster.. Its somewhat of a dumping ground for the State..But the only kind of trash you find around here would be grade 'A' felons..the kind that even the supermax couldn't handle."

"Wow..heartwarming..."

"It gets better...the reason they're beefing up security around here is cos the brains back at HQ have detected some form of anomaly...The people that they throw into Sector C were supposed to have a life expectancy of at least 15 years...given that there aren't any riots and stuff.
Thing is, their latest census showed that there are less than 50 felons left...an interesting drop from 400, a couple of years back.. the new life expectancy is set at a sweet 1.5 years."

"Hmm...morbid. But as sadistic as this may sound, ain't that a good thing? As in, its givin us less work since they're wiping themselves out...and that really helps with the overcrowding situation right?"

"If only... U see son, the problem is, they're not wiping themselves out... there's something in there that's doing our job for us. And the corporate bigwigs that are running this messy detainment program are using this situation to put themselves in a good light. Call it corporate social responsibility...paradoxically, the onus is on us to turn things around, for them. They want us to go in and stop what's going on in there."

"Thanks..this totally makes my day...We have a bunch of hardened criminals who're falling like flies for no apparent reason and we have to go in with a couple of Tasers to find out why...Nice, I'm loving this job already. I mean, they're obviously pissed for being here and we're not exactly on their buddies list...they hate the sight of us man!"

"Look, you got enlisted, so deal with it. Besides, we're not exactly going in blind... intelligence passed us some useful info this morning"

"Really now... and what did they say?"

"Sector C used to be a medical research hub about a decade back. It was shut down in a very sudden manner back then and the area was earmarked for the development of correctional facilities..due to its remote location."

"Go on..I'm listening.."

"Yeah..and ever since the deaths started occurring, HQ has been poring through files and R&D notes from the time of the existence of the hub.. Apparently, the scientists were carrying out research on a new strain of the nipah virus and as u may have guessed, they went a bit too far... some of the geeks started looking into mutating certain strains of the virus for educational purposes...when in actual fact, they were nothing more than raving psychopaths with nothing more than destruction on their minds.. let's just say that their employers didnt know that they had radicals in their ranks.. You following so far?"

"I guess..this is getting screwed up.."

"There's nothing left to screw up son...The end end result of their covert experiments was a living, breathing version of the virus..one that had teeth and a foot-long body. It doesn't have limbs so it sort of looks like an overgrown maggot. It moves slowly along the ground, much like a worm does but, this one packs a couple of surprises.."

"And I'm guessing its not alike the ones on Christmas morning?"

"Got that right...intel has been doing research with samples collected by some of their drones over the last few months and the findings were..well, disturbing to say the least. These nipah worms can jump up to a height of about 2 meters...and they reproduce through spores that are contained in their breath and saliva. It's something like this: The person gets bitten, the spores are transmitted..the infected person soon succumbs to the disease with the larva growing within him...the larva soon hatches and..finds its way out, yeah. Bottom line is that, you shouldn't breathe in there or get bitten by one of these things. Capiche?"

"I Need a coffee..."

"I need a beer!..."

(Ends here...nothin more than nonsensical whims of my clouded mind)

I'll go forth in peace and handle each day with respect and pride. I'll enjoy life and seek the smiles that count for everything. Guess what happened doesnt really matter, It's what's GOING to happen that matters huh? Will do..will do. Although help would be much appreciated, its not something I can rely on solely, I know. Well, Thank God for everything and everyone.

Bad Day

Where is the moment we needed the most
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost
They tell me your blue skies fade to gray
They tell me your passion's gone away
And I don't need no carryin' on

You stand in the line just to hit a new low
You're faking a smile with the coffee you go
You tell me your life's been way off line
You're falling to pieces every time
And I don't need no carryin' on

Because you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day

Will you need a blue sky holiday?
The point is they laugh at what you say
And I don't need no carryin' on

You had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day

Sometimes the system goes on the blink
And the whole thing turns out wrong
You might not make it back and you know
That you could be well oh that strong
And I'm not wrong

So where is the passion when you need it the most
Oh you and I
You kick up the leaves and the magic is lost

Cause you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
You've seen what you like
And how does it feel for one more time
You had a bad day

Peace, Out
