Earlier today, over dinner, poor 'ol 'Mandy' (hahaha!) had asked me to help her come up with a speech of sorts..mainly to give her sumthin nice to say to her interviewers later this week. Oh,did I forget to mention tt it was supposed to be about our Army? :D Seriously, I wouldn't really have many nice things to say off-hand..and i did tell her that it would be like going against my morals and values to come up with sumthin like tt..hahaah! But hey, I figured tt she has pretty much made up her mind and tt as friends, we ought to help her get through her time in the Force :D So here's the 'speech'..I really hope it helps :P
**Note- the following may not link or make any senseat all..dun blame me man :P **
The Army is a sum of parts, with every part playing a vital role. Every soldier has an important part to play.
Infantry : This unit is pretty much the backbone of our army in a battlefield situation. For without them, I don’t believe that the other units or divisions would function at their peak. They are the people that we would rely on for ground support..for their expertise on the different types of terrain and ability to handle close and long-range battles with ease.
Medics : The motto of the Army medical corps is 'LIFE FIRST'..it just goes to show that this is a life-saving force…a force that cares. During war or peacetime operations, the duty of medics would be to care for and treat Army personnel to the best of their ability, aided by the up-to-date equipment at their disposal. The medic’s presence brings about hope and calm in the hearts of the soldiers as they know that help is always at hand. Medics have to keep themselves updated with advancements in medicine so as to be able to render the best treatments for our troops.
Armour : This unit is a very nice union of man and machine. Highly trained troops join forces with modern armoured vehicles resulting in pure military muscle. It works with other ground forces to defend key objectives and it is also a unit which is flexible enough to be deployed in a moments notice. Their mere presence serves as a strong form of deterrence.
That’s all I have for u Amanda. Hope it’s good enough :) All the best for ur time in the Army! Take care & God Bless! -To all NSFs and NSmen... Oh, how true eh???!!!-
-hahaha-
