Yup, its been bout 2 weeks now, since i joined the brotherhood. And i gotta say, so far, army hasn't been that bad... The training is still manageable..nothing out of our capabilities..YET.
The fellow recruits are taking it all pretty well too.
As for myself, nothing much has changed. Only that i've grown much darker (YEAH! I'M INDIAN!! GRRR!) and i've lost a total of 7.5 kg from intake day (dec9)..Now, aint that quite an achievement?! haha.. But, wats affected me the most is the separation from my peeps at ylm, tails (my dawg) and now, lobo(Diane's dog) too! It was really hard being away from all of them...and not being able to be there for them on certain occasions.
It was during these times of sadness that I began to see God in the simplest of things..so much so, that there was a day I began thanking Him for the trees, wind and the rain! haha! (most NS fella's would agree that we're all happy for the rain during Cat1 weather). So, if there's juz 1 thing i'd say bout the army now...it wld be that it instills a sense of simplicity within us. When that simplicity is coupled with Christianity, It helps us achieve a greater closeness with God =)
Lastly, I would like to thank all you guys at YLM for simply being there..you guys mean a WHOLE LOT to me, and, if not for ya'll, I wouldn't be here.....and I dunno what I'd do without ya'll. God Bless you guys! Peace =)
